HE GOT THE CALL!!!!

You know I don't think I mentioned to anyone, but Taylor got his mission call!  He's going to Las Vegas, Nevada.  Not to be confused with Las Vegas Nevada West.  His mission area is about 6500 square miles, and the first thing he said to me was, "Mom, it hot there!"  So we are planning mostly for hot weather, I think it gets around 65 or 60 in the winter time, so we did buy him 2 pair of warm socks.  I am super excited for this new experience he's going to have.  I know he will be loved by the people there, and he'll find the reason he is called to this mission.  I'm sure going to miss him.

On a lighter note, Cortland went golfing with Todd.  This is the first time he's ever really used a golf club properly.  I took a good book and read while the "men" golfed, I took pictures too.  Cortland wanted a picture of the downswing....I'm not that good.  We had a great evening.

NEXT!  Last night I went for a 30 min power walk...with purpose.  Simon and Cortland wanted a special Ritter's Frozen Custard night.  I told them the only way we could go would be to walk there and walk back.  At first they really hesitated, but since that was the only way they were going to get ice cream they finally gave in.  I'm so glad I walked.  I am going to try and walk, bike, or swim 30 minutes 5 times a week.  We'll see what happens....I've got to do something!

And guess what Simon went to Senior Prom with his Senior girlfriend Irene.  I've got pictures!  I'll post them once I get Cortland to show me how to do it.

Lastly, Lauren...who is Taylor's girlfriend, went to church with us last week, and she's going with us again this week.  I'm excited that she's trying something new.

I thought that was last, but it's not...May is crazy for us.  We now start the month with 4 birthdays, Mother's Day and Memorial Day.  Not to mention the last 4 weeks that Taylor has to prepare for his mission.  This month we will be attempting to go to the temple every week and celebrate all of these birthdays.  Ashleigh will turn 8 this month, so that's another big milestone to prepare for.  I'm not sure I'm up for all of this....
